About the Artist
Anna was born in sunny southern California but spent most of her childhood in the front range of Colorado. Her love of the waves often is reflected in her abstract works, while her love of the mountains keeps her grounded in her values and has inspired her to pursue a degree in sustainability and environmental science.
Anna is a fourth-generation artist and is constantly inspired by the women in her family who paved the way for her. From a young age, Anna Jo loved painting, writing songs, and using her creativity in every possible way. Her love of butterflies, horses, and the color purple shaped much of her early art.
Now that she has put down roots in the farmlands of northern Colorado, her art and writing has taken off! Her poetry was published in 2008, and she is currently writing a fiction novel that she hopes to publish by 2030. Much of her time is spent creating new works, jotting down poems, and celebrating other artists in every way she can. She enjoys long weekends on a mountaintop or on the back of a horse (or mule!) and anything that allows her to bring along her fierce yet sweet pup, Winnie.
